       1. What is  IT, IS and ICT stand for?
Answer: A) IT stands for Information Technology
 B) IS stands for Information System?
 C) ICT stands for Information Communication and Technology

2. Write down the different type of computer.
Answer:
A)     Super Computer
B)      Mainframe Computer
C)      Workstation/Server
D)     Personal Computer

3. Define CPU, RAM, ROM, ROM-BIOS & Flash BIOS.
Answer: CPU stands for Central Processing Unit
                RAM stands for Random Access Memory
4. ROM stands for Read only Memory
ROM-BIOS stand for Read only Memory Basic Input Output System 

5. What is information security?
Answer: Information security means protecting information and information systems from unauthorized access.

6. What is the Mail merge? How can you create a mail merge?
Answer: The mail merge feature is used to insert variable data into a fixed format by combining two files into one file.

7. What is clipboard?
Answer: Clipboard is a special type of memory used by operating system which is used to move files and folders.
  8. How can you save document & also save this document under another name?

Answer: We will click office button and then select the save option and then we will browser the saving location and finally we will click the save button from the dialogue box.

Select the save option
Enter the file name and add browser the location where we wish locate the file
Click the save button

9. How can you apply the subscript or superscript?
Answer:
Subscript:
=> Select the texts/Characters
=> Click Font Dialogue launcher from Home tab
Select Subscript

 Superscript:
=> Select the texts/Characters
=> Click Font Dialogue launcher from Home tab
Select Superscript
10. How can you changing text case?
Answer:
=> Select  Text/Characters
=> Click Change case option located at home tab 

11. How to move a worksheet to another to another work book?
Answer:
=>  Right Click on Worksheet which we wish to move

=>  Then Select “move or copy” option
=> Then Select the wordbook which we wish to put
=> Then click OK

MS Excel Tutorial and Function

What is the active cell?
Active cell is the bold outline and highlighted cell on our worksheet.

Function:
COUNT: In excel count function will count the cells which have got numeric values only and it will not count the empty cells and alphanumeric characters.

COUNTA: In excel COUNTA function will count all the cells except the empty cells.

Count Blank: In excel COUNTBLAK function    will count only the blank cells.

What are IF function?
Excel has a number of functions which allow us to evaluate values and makes decisions based on the result of the evaluation. The IF () FUNCTION is one of these.

Numbers & Date Formatting:
Number Formatting:
Open a worksheet called Number Function. Click on the down arrow next to the Number format control. You will see a drop down menu from which you can select the format. In this case select Number.
This tells Excel that the data contained within this cell should always now be treated as number, rather than say text or a date.

Decimal Point display:
Click on the C4. Click on the Decrease Decimal icon so that no decimal places are displayed. The cell contents should now look like this. Format this number to display no decimal places…. 194593    
Set the contents of cell C5 to display 1 decimal point
Set the contents of cell C6 to display. Click on the Increase Decimal icon.
